"This day was so awesome!!!! Thank you for letting me hang out with you Rainbow Dash!!" "It's the least I could do for such a cool fan of mine" "Will I ever be as cool as you?" "Kid, I'll make sure you're one of the coolest ponies in all of Equestria."
Is there enough heartwarming MLP artwork? Yes? Too bad.
Most of the people on my first poll requested that I draw a Scootaloo & RD pic, well here it is!
I'm still working on making detailed backgrounds, I'm pretty satisfied with the results ^_^
I really, really, REALLY, hope there will be an episode where we get to see some sister-like bonding between RD and Scootaloo. It just has to happen, it would be the best episode ever!!
And I'll go out and say this: I really think that Rainbow Dash would be great as Scootaloo's mentor, or something. I'm not sure why but it seems that she would.
Anyways, hope you enjoy the pic ^_^
EDIT: I edited Rainbow's face a bit.
MLP:FiM belongs to Hasbro and was created by Lauren Faust
I always feel absolute, unbridled joy when I stumble upon new artwork of these two. Dashie being the surrogate big sister figure for Scootaloo is one of my absolute favorite concepts about this fanbase, and I think in this piece here, you've captured the essence of that perfectly.
I believe one of my favorite things about this piece is that you couldn't have picked a better time of day for this scene. Sunset, with the warm yet dimming sunlight and relaxing shadows not only highlights Cloudsdale and makes it look terrific, but also brings depth to the characters using shadow and light, that makes them very pleasant to look at.
Then, there's the ponies themselves, who both have fantastic expressions and poses. I love how Scoots is leaning forward a little in order to give her idol the biggest hug she can muster <3 And Rainbow's expression specifically is just perfect, I feel. It's just so soft and caring.
Lastly, I just wanted to point out that I love how you drew the clouds. They're very puffy, and with Cloudsdale especially they have an essence to them that makes them wispy and non-tangible, just like clouds should be.
All in all, rambling aside, I think you captured the essence of a soft and calm moment perfectly. This is easily one of my all-time favorite Scootalove artworks, and I'm so glad to have found it!
First things first, this piece is gorgeous. The sunset is marvelous and the clouds look beautifully realistic. I love the blur effect you gave them. The birds in the distance are also a nice touch. The only thing I can say that you need to work on is the land. The field seems rather plain and I feel you can do a bit more work on the lake and the sandy shore. Give it life. Otherwise, the mountains are majestic and the hugging between Dash and Scoot is very d'aaaawww-worthy. Great work overall, but give the land and lake a bit more life.
I love it. It's so emotional and Scoot just looks so cute. Also i like how you brought in the aspect of Rainbow Dash being like a mother for her. That's definetly a picture you could watch for hours with the right music in the background ^^ ehmm... jup... Just wanted to say it's awesome.
